Shell Flintkote 3 Waterproofing Bitumen
Shell Flintkote 3 is a single-component, non-fibre-reinforced, highly stable water-based bitumen emulsion. After curing it forms a strong yet flexible bituminous waterproofing membrane suitable for horizontal and vertical surfaces, widely used for waterproofing of concrete, asbestos cement, roofing felt, mastic asphalt, tiles and metal substrates.

Applications
- Waterproofing — concrete roofs, asbestos cement roofs, metal roofs, bituminous roof renovation, retaining walls, exterior walls, floor slabs, bathrooms, kitchens, balconies, planters; also as non-toxic water tank lining
- Vapour barriers — cold storage, mushroom houses, food warehouses
- Concrete protection — against carbonation, spalling and sulphate attack
- Metal anti-corrosion — protective coating for pipes, steel structures and other metal equipment
- Timber end-grain protection — sealing freshly cut timber surfaces, reducing moisture loss
